Meet Our Board

The PARDA Board of Directors are elected from and by our general membership to set and oversee the strategic direction of the credit union. They are a dedicated group of knowledgeable, experienced professionals that live throughout the United States, endlessly working to ensure that the best interest of our members/owners are at the core of everything we do.

Don Callihan | Chair

Mr. Callihan has been a Board Member since 2008. He is currently a Warner-Lambert Legacy retiree. Prior to his retirement, he was Director of Engineering at the Parke-Davis facility in Rochester, Michigan until the plant was sold to King Pharmaceuticals in 1998. At this time, he assumed the position of Vice President of Engineering at the Rochester Facility until his retirement. He is a member of the Finance Committee at his church and editor of the Parke- Davis Retirees Review, a newsletter for P-D Detroit and Rochester retirees. He has been a member of PARDA for almost 40 years and is currently PARDA's Board Chairperson.


Sherry L. Gass | Vice Chair

Ms. Gass has been a PARDA Board Member since 2001. Ms. Gass is currently the Vice Chair of the board. Her responsibilities have included serving as Chairperson of the Board, Secretary of the Board and as Chair of the Supervisory Committee; she was also a Director of the PARDA Financial Partners, LLC. Ms. Gass' expertise is in the financial arena after many years of service with Park-Davis, Warner-Lambert, and Pfizer.


Jackie Randall | Treasurer

Ms. Randall is the current Treasurer of the Board. She has been a member since 2013 (initially as an Associate Director). She brings to the Board a variety of finance and accounting expertise after nearly 30 years of experience in corporate finance with Pfizer Inc. (Warner-Lambert), Baxter International Inc., Motorola Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. She is currently a financial consultant.


David J. Sweet | Secretary

Mr. Sweet is the current Secretary of the Board. He has been a board member since 1998 having served as the Chair of the Board from 2002 – 2004 and 2008 – 2011. Mr. Sweet retired in January, 2002 from Pfizer in Ann Arbor, Michigan after over 35 years of dedicated service. Before retirement Mr. Sweet was Manager of the Biological Samples of PDM and also worked in the Toxicology, Clinical Pharmacology areas.


Mike Donley

Mr. Donley joined the PARDA board in 2015 as an Associate Director, and as a Director in 2016. He has served on the Policy Committee and the Marketing Committee. Mr. Donley is a business consultant for over 20 years, focusing on multi-generational family owned businesses, particularly in Marketing, Financial Management, Strategic and Succession Planning.


Manuel Hernandez (Manny)

Mr. Hernandez has been a board member since August 26, 1992. Manny has served as Chair of the Board, Vice Chair, Chair of the Supervisory Committee and Chair of the Technology Committee. Mr. Hernandez retired from Pfizer in Morris Plains, New Jersey in September of 2000 after 24 years of dedicated service. During his career with Pfizer his responsibilities included Manager of Control and Analysis, Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, and Auditing Director.


Joe Volstromer

Mr. Volstromer has been a valued Board Member since January 2005. His responsibilities have included serving as Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary of the Board; he also has served on the Facilities and Security Committee and currently serves on the policy committee. Mr. Volstromer has been employed by Pfizer for over 30 years, beginning in Ann Arbor, Michigan and currently works at the Chesterfield, Missouri Research site where he holds the position of Director of Facilities and Operations.


PARDA's Director Emeritus | Allan J. Gavern | 1923-2014

On September 30, 2005, PARDA's most dedicated Board Member of 45 years become the first Director Emeritus of PARDA Federal Credit Union. Throughout his tenure on the board, he held past positions as the Chair of the Board, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Member of the Credit Committee, Policy Committee, Facilities Committee, and Supervisory Committee. Mr. Gavern's position before retirement from Warner-Lambert was Manager of Distribution of TECH services. The late Mr. Gavern will be missed by many Board of Directors and PARDA staff. He was very instrumental to PARDA's values and vision and his commitment and dedicated will always be unsurpassed.



Associate Directors

PARDA’s Associate Directors have the same duties and responsibilities as Board Members with the exception of voting rights. The Associate Directors are part of the credit union’s succession plan and have a vast knowledge of the PARDA’s business plan. Supervisory Committee

PARDA’s supervisory committee is tasked with ensuring that the board of directors and management of the credit union meet their financial objectives. In addition to this the Supervisory Committee creates processes and procedures to make sure the members assets remain safe.
